In May 2015 Fox announced the fifteenth season to be the last one of American Idol. The season was planned to be four weeks shorter than the previou ones and the focus was in addition on former Alumnis. Jennifer Lopez was one of the returning judges in addition to Connick Jr., Keith Urban and Ryan Seacrest. Americal Idol as a whole concluded in April 2016.
